I have been using freestyllibra for 2 years. I thought they were the best things since sliced bread, not that I eat bread.A month ago at 2am my senses alarm went off with low glucose, 3.9. I had no symptoms of a hypo. My readings continued to fall to 2.9 despite taking glucose tablets, the monitor sensor then stated unable to read blood sugars. 15 mins later, the senor came back to read bood sugars 17.5 and continued to rise making me feel quite ill. This pattern of readings continued for 4 consecutive nights. I did not have a blood monitor machine as I put my complete trust in the sensor. After consulting my diabetic nurse. I changed the sensor and started to use a blood monitor machine. The disparity between the sensor and the readings from the blood machine were so different. I have been injecting way to much insulin by jyst putting my trust in the sensor. This morning, with a new sensor applied 24 hrs earlier, the sensor read 10.5. My glucose machine read 8.8?Although thus sensor is ok for a rough guide,it is not accurate enough for me. I have contacted freestyle libre and have sent the faulty sensor back as requested.Customer service was good.
