1) The food is super mediocre, and definitely not worth the price. In my food, I have found a strip of plastic (no joke!), a foreign hair, and a hard piece of something that could have cracked my tooth (and that’s just over 2 deliveries). The steak was almost inedible; I could barely cut it with a quality steak knife, full of grizzle and fat, super chewy. 2) My customer service experience was horrible. The rep couldn’t communicate very clearly and changed her answers mid-call. The conversation was laborious to say the least. A day or so after getting my box, I was auto charged for the next one, but I was going to be out of town, plus I wanted to cancel my subscription all together. As a new customer, I was still getting used to the timing, so I called immediately to get that delivery canceled. First she said she couldn’t cancel the delivery because it had already processed (even though the delivery was 4 days from now). Then she said she COULD cancel the delivery just couldn’t issue a refund. She issued a credit, and assured me the food would NOT be delivered. But sure enough, it was delivered and sat festering on my porch attracting flies for 7 days—like a giant signal that no one is home. And since I was only given a credit, now I have to get another delivery of unsatisfactory food, lest I waste lots of money. And then I still have to call to cancel later because Freshly can’t set it to cancel after that last delivery. I wish I had never done business with them.
