I purchased a Two Seater Settee Recliner from the Orpington store it was delivered yesterday.
The first time I put the Seat back into upright position one side clearly does not come all the way back up.
You can see it as there is a line across the two Seats and they dont line up!!
I contacted Customer care, to ask for a refund as is my rights under the Consumer Act, but got told no, a Technician will come out write a Report and then will be given options.
Under the Consumer Rights Act I believe I am entitled to a full refund as it is faulty. It was not cheap over 1200 pounds, so it shluld be what it says on the Tin.
As it is made in China the Mechanism may have got damaged asvit takes 4 Months to get here!!
I told Ali in Customer care I wouuld speak to my Bank for a refund, but was told it dles not matter, we will tell the Bank the same thing we need ro send a Technician then he will give options.
I do not want to keep this Settee as the longer is here the longer Durniture Village can claim I damaged it.
I emailed first thing this morning to report the problem no response, so tonight went on to live chat, and that is when had the conversation with Ali. Personally do not want anything else to do with this Company, happy to take your Money, but then dont want to listen to you when there is a complaint.
Why should I have to take time off work for a Technician to come, then wait for a Report. Ali said they are independent, but are you going to bite tbe hand that feeds you?? Furniture Village hope you read this and you are a honest Company that abides by what is right!!
