Hoodies

The hoodies always shrink in the dryer, and they also get stained super easily. I will have water marks on them without even spilling anything on it. I also sprayed a blue hoodie with shout since it had spots on it, and the shout stained the hoodie. I’m really confused on what material is being used for these hoodies but I am not a fan of them for $70+

I have never purchased jeans from…

I have never purchased jeans from Garage clothing so I went with the size that I normally wear. The jeans are final sale but I was confident that I could fit them. Well, they are really shaped for "Black girls" so they fit properly. Money wasted.

Fine lines & new normals

The store itself walks a line between minimalist and "final sale before closure".I can see the advantages for having less clutter in a store, and it's nice for people to be able to actually move around but, this just felt overly sparse, and just lacking. Maybe it's the set up, maybe it's product placement but the overall effect the appearance gave off, for me - was that there just was not enough product to fill the space/have out on display. Which, can also be said to be in an attempt to "limit product waste" maybe help with theft (*shrugs*) but, it just seemed so terribly empty. It was like each display was limited to a few sizes behind/under it which, doesn't give a lot of confidence that there are many sizing options and sure, maybe there are more in the back but, people are not always comfortable, or have the time or just don't want to have to hunt someone down and ask about inventory with almost every single item they want to try on (which, would have been a requirement if a person needed a size beyond xxxs, xxs, xs or small - a few items my daughter was interested in did have mediums, but very, very few and, even less had larges or xl's).When you first walk in and see the very, teeny tiny shirts displayed it definitely screams very loudly at the demographic being targeted (ESPECIALLY when you only see a few hangers behind the items, and not a "average size" - let alone "plus size" section or department in the store to be found) and I would not be surprised at all if there are many, many, many people who enter the store, look around and either immediately turn around and leave or, take a quick glance over the space and then do so.Let's be honest and real - this also isn't a high fashion, luxury brand where the limited product, options, etc. are essential in the very foundation of their brand and making them "exclusive" instead, it had me debating if it was a brand I really wanted to support. I just found that the overall aesthetic was just...limited. Limited in, perspective, product, options, and sizes. There are not a lot of items displayed, and it's mulitple displays if the same product just in a different color. The actual amount of different products is extremely limited, and even more so by very, very limited sizing. During my time in the store I think I maybe, maybe, seen a handful of sizes that were large or extra large. Which was really disappointing. It took a very long time before any introductions or offers of help were given by the employees which, if it had been busy or they themselves were busy - would have been completely understandable however that wasn't the case, the store was even more sparse then the racks amd tables. We were offered a change room fairly quuckly once we gathered a few items to try on. There was one check in to see how things were fitting and standard/usual offer to get different sizes if needed...after that we were left alone and I just went and found different sizes and styles as needed (which, can be viewed as a good or bad thing depending on each person perspective...for us, it was fine) the only issue with it that I had was that it didn't seem like we really had another option, unless we wanted to go find one of them and ask and, by the time I would have gotten to one, I may as well have just gotten what we needed anyway. I don't know if the level of service would have been different if we had been solo shopping but, not once while I was hunting sizes was I offered any further assistance. The times we did interact with the employees they were very friendly and polite.
