After finishing our tenancy with the service, we believed we left the property in a clean and acceptable state. However, we were met with a £550 deposit claim, which included charges for cleaning (£250), decoration and painting (£150), and a radiator leak (£115). Having rented this apartment for a year, we found it in poor condition upon moving in, with a noticeable odour. Despite raising this issue with the agency multiple times, no action was taken. We reported a bathroom ceiling water leak and light damage several times through calls and emails, but it took months for them to address it. When they finally did come, the repairs were incomplete, leading to paint falling again due to the leaked ceiling. This ongoing issue ultimately resulted in ceiling damage for which we are now being held responsible. Additionally, the boiler and heater were damaged and remained unrepaired for a week despite repeated follow-ups. Throughout our tenancy, there were no leaking radiators, and we did nothing to the walls, maintaining the property as it was given to us. We cleaned the house thoroughly before returning it. Our experience has been profoundly disappointing, and I hope this review promotes greater fairness and transparency for future tenants.
