I attempted to use Gazelle’s trade-in promotion which advertises a $20 coupon toward a “new-to-you” device after Gazelle receives your device.
I completed trade-in order PS44014437869. My trade shows Completed and Paid. I never received the $20 coupon email.
I contacted chat support multiple times. One agent repeatedly responded about my PayPal payout, even though I clearly stated my issue was about the missing promotional coupon.
A second agent then claimed the promotion is only valid if you subscribe to their newsletter and only for first-time sellers. None of those conditions are disclosed in the promotional popup shown during the trade process.
When I questioned the undisclosed conditions, I was told the system could not be overridden and no resolution was offered.
This experience strongly suggests Gazelle advertises promotions without clearly disclosing material conditions and relies on inconsistent support responses when customers attempt to redeem them.
Based on this experience, I do not trust Gazelle’s promotions and will not do business with them again.
