I attempted to use Gazelle’s trade-in promotion which advertises a $20 coupon toward a “new-to-you” device after Gazelle receives your device.
I completed trade-in order PS44014437869. My trade shows Completed and Paid. I never received the $20 coupon email.
I contacted chat support multiple times. One agent repeatedly responded about my PayPal payout, even though I clearly stated my issue was about the missing promotional coupon.
A second agent then claimed the promotion is only valid if you subscribe to their newsletter and only for first-time sellers. None of those conditions are disclosed in the promotional popup shown during the trade process.
When I questioned the undisclosed conditions, I was told the system could not be overridden and no resolution was offered.
This experience strongly suggests Gazelle advertises promotions without clearly disclosing material conditions and relies on inconsistent support responses when customers attempt to redeem them.
Based on this experience, I do not trust Gazelle’s promotions and will not do business with them again.
I had a very disappointing experience. I sent three phones that were in perfect condition, protected with cases and screen covers from the start. I even reinforced the shipping box they provided. A few days later, I received notice that two of the devices were reported as damaged, and they wanted to reduce their offers. I declined their offer and requested the devices be returned. When they arrived, I discovered that one phone had a significant crack on the back, and the glass around the cameras appeared to be intentionally harmed. This feels extremely unethical. I advise against selling your devices to this service.

I've used this service multiple times before for selling old phones, and it was usually easy and quick. This time, I tried to sell back three iPhone 14s after upgrading. I mailed them the phones in the prepaid box they provided, but after weeks of silence, I called and was told they were lost. They requested information to help locate them, but even if they couldn’t find them, I would be compensated. After providing the necessary details, they said it would take 3-5 days, but I heard nothing. I called again, and they now need an "Affidavit of Loss" filled out. After submitting that, I still received no updates. Most recently, I called again, and they said I need to file a police report for them to continue their "investigation." The representatives are polite, but the lack of progress feels like a scam, as if they want me to give up. I will NEVER use this service again.

After submitting an affidavit, the next representative stated they wouldn’t honor it. Now I'm left without my phone, out a significant amount of money, and facing weeks of waiting with no assistance.
