I've used GCI for about 3 years now. GCI is borderline a monopoly, and should be investigated for how they blatantly throttle internet speeds if you have any plan but their most expensive. The only plan they offer with unlimited data is also the only plan with decent speeds, and it's close to $200. Any cheaper plan, and they limit high speed data to ridiculous amounts, and your speeds slow to barely 5mbps download. They're also the only company in Alaska with decent speeds, making them the only real option if you want internet speeds fast enough to do anything other than basic web use and low quality videos. Even with their most expensive plan, their internet and speeds are unreliable. They go down frequently, and speeds are extremely relative, especially if you're using multiple devices. If money isn't an issue, buy their best plan, because it's the fastest internet out here. Just don't expect anything amazing. Their cheaper plans shouldn't even exist with the speeds they give you.
