GCI stole money from me then repeatedly lied to me about issuing a refund. GCI launched a new payment platform in May. I went online to pay my bill using an updated payment method, and the system just kept spooling and spooling. I didn't think it was accepting my updated payment method for some reason. I next attempted to pay my bill using the account information already on my profile and I got the same result - spooling and spooling. Finally, I tried submitting payment using another credit card and that payment went through and I received a message thanking me for my payment.I checked my account and saw that, in fact, every payment had gone through. I had ended up paying over $900 when I only meant to pay just over $300.I called customer service immediately and was told GCI doesn't give refunds. I explained what happened, and the representative spoke to a supervisor who authorized the rep to supposedly issue a refund check to me which, I was told, would take 7 - 10 days to process. After 3 weeks I called back and spoke to a supervisor who told me he didn't know why that refund didn't go through but he could authorize a $300 refund that day to my credit card. He literally said he was doing it while we were on the phone. That was June 6. Yesterday, July 7, I called again because I have still not received any refund. The manager I spoke with told me he saw a refund was approved on June 6 and he was going to talk to accounting and call me this morning at 9 am. It's 9:20 and I've received no call.GCI is a company of thieves and liars. They say whatever they need to say to get customers off the phone. They don't care that I couldn't make my house payment last month. Shame on them.
