I also purchased a DW drum kit at their physical store in York recently. It was listed as ex display. However they said to even take a look at its condition I needed to pay as they would need a fork lift driver (why that matters when you’re spending good money, I’ve no idea). By the time I’d paid and waited 30 mins, they were closing and kicking me out of the shop. Good job I checked the contents before loading my car because all the Tuning lugs and bass drum claws were missing. Banged on the door to get back in and got a refund. No apology, no call back as I asked them to try and locate the missing parts and I’d happily return and repurchase. Basically no apology or any future discounts or voucher to cover all the messing about and wasted trip from Manchester.
Definitely will only purchase from this company if they are the only stockist of what I need.
Got super lucky and found the LTD edition DW kit in Birkenhead. Had to wait 4 days for my money back though !
