I researched the company thoroughly, and I even checked the business on the Companies House website for information in case anything went wrong.It seems that most orders take approximately 4 weeks to arrive and the staff on hand, "James", are always available to help wth any queries. So, I decided to purchase £5,828.20 worth of equipment from GearClix. A serious amount of Canon premium photography and video gear. and expected to take delivery in around 4 weeks, going off other people's experiences and NOT what the website leads you to believe. It seems that in few, if any, cases the customer receives their order in the 2-week timeframe the website suggests.I placed my order, and the funds were taken immediately, as you would expect with any other website. I received my email order confirmation with the estimated delivery window and nothing else. I waited three weeks before reaching out to customer service to inquire about an estimated delivery date. 24ish hours later, I received a response from "James" that my order would be shipped on the 13th of October and delivered on the 15th of October. I waited until the 14th and had yet to receive any shipping notifications or delivery instructions from FedEx. I reached out to "James" and asked if he thought I would receive my order the following day.24 hours later, I received a response that my order would be shipped on the 17th of October and delivered on the 22nd.I waited and reached out on the 17th to ask for the tracking information ahead of my delivery on the 22nd. 24 hours later, I was told there was an incident at the Hong Kong airport and my order would be delivered on the 24th of October. I thanked "James" for their transparency on this and that if there were any further delays, please could I be notified, as I will need the equipment for planned shoots. On the 22nd, I received a shipping notification from both Gear Clix and FedEx stating I would receive my order on the 24th of October with an estimated window. This was all accurate, and I did receive a parcel on the 24th. When the FedEx delivery driver was holding my parcel, I could already tell the box was too small to house a camera unit and two lenses. I asked the driver if it was just the one parcel, and he confirmed it was the only one he had for this address. I opened my delivery and, true to the order, I had two brand new Canon RF lenses. Unopened and in packed well.However, my order did NOT contain the most expensive part of my order, the £3,345 camera unit I'd ordered and purchased with the two lenses. After researching the combined weights, the shipping weights, and the delivery history. The camera unit was never shipped with the two lenses.Needless to say, I got onto Gear Clix with this information, sent a video and photos of the delivery, and requested information on where my camera unit was. Two days later, I got an email response from "James" saying he would get the update about my camera by noon the following day. Noon passed with no update. I reached out again, expressing my concern and demanding to know where my camera was. A few hours later, I received a response and was told the camera would be delivered on Wednesday or Thursday this week (29th/30th), and tracking information will be shared once it's shipped. It is now Thursday, the 30th. I have reached out and not received any further contact from "James" after requesting a refund. I have no tracking information for the missing camera and have had no deliveries since the two lenses. Today, I am opening a case with my credit card company to seek a refund for the missing camera unit and to advise other prospective buyers to use more reliable transparent companies, such as e-inf and Pana. I wanted to trust this company and believe that it was just teething problems, as they have not been trading for long. However, this is not the case. I have been lied to at every turn, I am left without the most expensive item from my order and have no information on what has happened to it or if I have been robbed.My advice is that it's more hassle than it's worth to save a little bit of money.
