Was a client with Geico for 32 years. Very happy and always paid my policy on time. Recently was trying to help a family member that was living with us that was dealing with some medical and personal issues. Spoke with Geico to see if I could insure the car on my policy even though not in my name or add my family member. After the discussion I decided too difficult to assist. Recently I tried to log in without success. Called Geico and found out that my policy was cancelled. I was sent forms to provide info on my family member that I decided not to help due to the complications. I missed this email but would think it would be irrelevant considering this person was not being added. GEICO proceeded to cancel my insurance. With no contact but the email sent asking for family member info. I tried to reinstate my insurance but was told I need to contest the action and mail info to state insurance commissioner and find a new insurance company in the interim. 32 years as a customer doesn't get you a whole lot these days. I appreciate what Geico did for me while I was a client but not the best way to end a relationship.
