Incompetent builders - unacceptable.

The insurance company assigned this service to repair my home after impact damage. Eleven months later, I am still struggling to get my home finished and their subpar workmanship rectified. They have prolonged the insurance claim, which an independent surveyor stated should have taken no more than 5-6 months. The team showed up sporadically, did some work, then left for days or weeks. They had to return to redo their poor initial attempts. Meanwhile, I was left without a home, living in a spare room with family for eight months. Weeks and months would pass with no progress from them. They rebuilt the front of my house, which started to crack shortly after due to improper construction. There were no damp courses, and it was not up to building regulations, requiring it to be redone. They also failed to reinstate my loft insulation to code, provided a smaller garage door poorly fitted, and constructed a crooked doorstep with terrible brickwork. Double-glazed windows were incorrectly installed and failed inspection. They damaged my bathroom floor and my new lounge floor, which they also fitted incorrectly. New plaster is cracking, paint is peeling, cladding is unsealed, they damaged my belongings, and items went missing. I have received no certificates for any work done or any explanations or apologies. They have vanished, leaving me to deal with the aftermath. If your insurance company assigns this service, please consider alternatives. You will be left heartbroken, and at a time when you truly need someone to repair your home, they will prolong the process and perform inadequately. I now have to hire someone else to correct their poor work and finish the job through insurance. An unacceptable company with disgraceful service and workmanship.
