Although these terms may be mentioned in the fine print, they feel unfair and uninviting to buyers, especially newcomers. The only alternatives after winning were to either forfeit a hefty fee, complete the purchase with a steep restocking charge, or resell through the same platform. None of these options seemed reasonable for someone who simply decided not to continue. In my view, this approach emphasizes enforcement over building trust and creates unnecessary pressure rather than confidence. For a luxury marketplace, I anticipated a more balanced, customer-friendly experience. I will not be using this service again and recommend that other first-time users carefully review all terms before participating in auctions.
