Extremely disappointed –throw your money straight in the trash, it’s less effort and hassle

Purchased Findster Duo around mid-November 2019 and shortly afterwards I was asked to complete a survey. Normally I cannot be bothered with surveys but since I had experienced a number of problems with the Guardian module losing the Bluetooth connection with my phone (3/4 time per walk) and Application freezing I completed the survey. At the back end of November I received an email from Findster with a set of instructions (procedure) to follow which I did. I thought I would give it time for the system to settle down but the problems persisted and in March 2020 I contacted Findster hoping to get the issues resolved.By the end of March I had been given some repeated, and some new instructions, none of which made any difference. At this point I was asked to log on with same ID and password on a different phone which I did (my wife’s (same phone as mine)) and tried it for 4/5 days and again same problems. I was asked for and duly sent a report from the application to which the response was to update the firmware and “follow this procedure” ( Déjà vu). Firmware was updated and again I checked each point of the procedure but no resolution. At this point in time they must have got fed up with me as I was advised that the ticket had been automatically marked as solved but was asked how I felt about it. My response “how would you feel if you paid £180 (GBP) for an item that does not do what it says on the tin and then told the issue is solved and the corresponding ticket closed? And as a final insult Findster support commented “Change your smartphone or find out which setting is causing this and the product will work as advertised”The actual concept sounds great however Findster support leaves a lot to be desired. If your problem is not resolved by their prescripted procedure they give up and suggest you buy a new phone (££££) or resolve the problem yourself.An updateJust over a week ago (27th November) I received 3 calls from Findster, which just goes to show they do have access to a phone. Anyone who is interested, my phone displayed the following: Call 1) International Private, Call 2) Withheld Private caller and Call 3) 02895 810626 (I have no idea if this is a valid number). Anyway to cut a long story short Findster called to offer me a refund provided I removed my review. My response was no, it is valid and it stays. I commented that irrespective of the review they should provide a refund as the tracker does not work for me. I ask myself is this the action of an ethical company?
