Caution Advised - Issues with Subscription and Appointment Services

I recently subscribed to an ADHD-focused iPhone app, only to encounter several concerns worth noting: Pricing and Subscription Model: The app charges an annual fee of $200, which I found steep, especially since I inadvertently signed up for the premium option instead of the base one, which is $130 less. The auto-renewal feature, without clear reminders, is problematic for users like me who struggle with remembering such details. This seems to exploit a common ADHD challenge of forgetting annual commitments like this. Lack of Transparency and Refund Policy: There were no reminders or invoices for the annual charge. When I realized this and sought cancellation, they denied any refund. The lack of transparency in billing and inflexible refund policy was disheartening. Issues with Medication Appointment Booking: I attempted to schedule a medication appointment, but faced multiple issues: My intake form details were lost three times, causing unnecessary delays and rescheduling. There was confusion about appointment availability, with the support team indicating technical issues that were supposedly unreported, yet they were aware of calendar synchronization problems. The process of repeatedly filling out intake forms, which is particularly challenging for individuals with ADHD, felt disregarded. Potential Privacy Concerns and Customer Service: The repeated loss of my intake details raises potential HIPAA compliance questions. When I inquired about the safety and whereabouts of my data, which was visible in my portal but not in their EMR, my appointment was abruptly canceled, and they expressed an inability to work with me, despite 'appreciating the feedback'. Inaccuracies in Professional Assignments: The nurse assigned to me had reportedly retired four years prior. This discrepancy, whether due to outdated records or other reasons, raises concerns about the app's currentness and reliability.Final Thoughts: Given these experiences, I advise caution with this app. The combination of billing opacity, appointment scheduling issues, potential privacy concerns, and inaccuracies in professional assignments undermines the trust and reliability essential in healthcare apps, particularly for those managing ADHD.
