This device does not live up to the sales hype and is horrible.
Here's why;
the Ryoko doesn't work, it's that it works terribly.
Delivered Speeds
I know the speeds used for advertisment purposes are not guarenteed speeds, and will vary depending on where the device is connected.
Below are recent Speedtests taken using Speedtest by Ookla
As you can see these speeds are rather dismal, and these are the speeds usually obtained. I have never gotten speeds in the double or triple digits as advertised.
The Battery
The "Ryoko Pro Battery Upgrade" gets about 6 hours at best. If this is an "Upgrade" the standard battery must only deliver a couple of hours. I guess I should be happy Ryoko only got me for $19.99 and not the $66.63 listed.
The Connection
Even with NO devices connected to the Ryoko, the connection comes and goes when in a stationary position, Lord, I can only imagine how the connection would be if moving.
These are the reasons, I want to return this device and cancel the remainder of the 6 month service plane I paid for.
I am now so sorry I highly recommended this device to 2 friends who ended up purchasing the Ryoko, but as of yet not recieved it. I advised them it takes forever to get the thing, and they might be retired before the get it.
