Giggling Squid Norwich is a very pretty restaurant with friendly attentive staff. No complaints there then we come to the food. Our guests were happy with theirs but ours was dreadful. I eat Papaya salad in every Thai I go to here and anywhere in the world. This one turned up in a small bowl and the only indication that there was any Papaya in there were a few tiny orange slivers. The salad was very hot but I accept that as that can differ but I never had one with horrible tasting slimy dressing on before. I ate some of it left the rest. The main course was equally bad and I think it had the same dressing on it. Oily and awful. We ordered the Butterfly Prawn dish. Three overcooked prawns presented themselves atop a lot of very greasy awful noodles. Quite nasty. If we had been just the two of us I would have sent the lot back. We won't go again and that's a shame as it is a lovely restaurant but you don't go to a restaurant to look at the decor. That's an added plus. Shame on the owners.
