I placed an order on Givalli’s website and requested cancellation immediately after completing the purchase. The request was sent right away, before any meaningful processing or shipment should reasonably have taken place.
Despite this, the seller refused to cancel and refund the order.
Under EU consumer protection law (14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases), consumers are legally entitled to withdraw from an online purchase without justification. Instead of complying with this fundamental rule, the company chose to ignore the immediate cancellation request and refused to process the refund properly.
Forcing shipment and creating unnecessary return procedures when a cancellation request is made immediately after ordering is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of respect for consumer rights.
This type of practice is extremely concerning. Customers should be very cautious before ordering.
In my view, this behavior is abusive and highly questionable.
