Unlawful Double Recovery for Parking ChargesAs of 07/02/2021 companies like Gladstones are NOT allowed to add on their "Admin/ Debt Recovery/ VAT Administration" charges onto your parking ticket invoices. The UK government have had enough of this and officially banned it in the new parking bill. If any PCNs are issued after this date - challenge these unlawful charges and report them!When you get a parking charge notice - if unpaid before a deadline it then gets passed onto Gladstones or other similar firms where a £60 "admin fee"/ "debt recovery" fee etc is added on - unlawfully. It was ZZPS director Gary Osner who created this model". On 3/9/18 he openly boasted in an interview with ParkMaven quoting that: "I created the model of ‘admin fees’ for debt recovery because ticket value was so low that nobody would make any money. Parking is business and business is about money, after all. "THIS is unlawful double recovery and multiple county court judges are striking out claims as an Abuse of Process due to this and there is endless stated case law such as Excel vs Wilkinson. Gladstones are a very murky firm. They have recently been penalised/ prosecuted by the Solictors Regulatory Authority (SRA) and fined for poor conduct in regards to their shoddy treatment and lack of accountability of people's money! When I did some investigation and found this out - I cannot rate them highly based on this evidenced behaviour. DO NOT PAY THEM and challenge them and let them justify their outrageous unlawful add-ons to a court judge!
