Review Time
For nearly two decades, we have relied on the company for purchasing our nearly new cars and for annual servicing. Initially, we were satisfied with the service. However, in the last three years, the quality has significantly declined, and prices have increased. We scheduled a service with pick-up and delivery. The after-sales manager communicated clearly via email, but the response from the service manager was confusing. When I called for clarification, I was left on hold for a long time listening to a repetitive tune instead of receiving a callback. Additionally, we have had ongoing issues with the automatic boot opening since purchasing the car, which have never been properly resolved. Now, I'm being told that diagnosing the problem will cost £200. I'm uncertain if I will continue using their services next year, as we had a much better experience with another location last year.
We've been using Jemca for nearly 2 decades, to both buy our nearly new cars and for our annual service. We were very pleased with the service. However over the past 3 years Jemma's service has been exceedingly poor and their charges have gone up. We booked our car for a service including pick up and delivery. The after sales manager Charlotte wrote me a clear email which I replied to. This was sent on to the service manager and I had an incompréhensive email from him. When I phoned to enquire what he meant to say, I had to hold on for ages listening to an inane repetitive tune! They could call back instead. Also we had a problem from when we bought the car with the automatic boot opening and it's never been adequately fixed. I was now told in order to diagnose it, it will cost £200. I'm not sure if I'll use then again next year. Last year we used Jemca Derby and service was much better
I'd only recommend this company to my worst enemies. Ordered a musical instrument online from another EU country on 27th November. The parcel traveled through several countries in a span of one week. Then it stopped in France on 6th December. No update for a week. Next update is from Ireland, parcel reached parcel center on 15th Dec. Then the same update a week later. Ireland, parcel has reached parcel center. Then nothing till 8th January. In the meantime GLS customer service has left my emails unanswered and they were unreachable via phone. At this point I contacted the seller to see whether the parcel got lost or maybe returned to seller. Magically the next day I got an update saying my parcel is out for delivery. So I was sitting at home all day to make sure I don't miss delivery. The driver never tried to get in touch with me even though he had my phone number. He left the box in front of the door without even knocking or ringing me. Guess I can count myself lucky the item turned up eventually and wasn't stolen. To summarize it took GLS almost a month to deliver my parcel within Ireland and then the driver just left an expensive item on the street without notifying me. Like others stated already I will be avoiding companies that use GLS as their courier service.
