I didn't realize the company I ordered from was using GLS, I just assumed USPS, UPS, or FedEx. So, knowing I likely wouldn't be home when it came, I didn't worry because those delivery companies leave notices. After a few days, when I got nothing, I found the tracking info and saw that it was a company called GLS. The tracking info said it had been attempted twice and that a "notification was sent", yet I never got any notification. Since it's not like the others and I couldn't just go easily pick it up (their only location is over an hour away) I called the company's customer service and the lady I spoke with said that she could schedule the delivery for after 4PM, when I'd be home. It didn't come, so I checked the tracking again, and they had attempted delivery in the morning yet again, despite it clearly being noted in my tracking info that an afternoon delivery had been scheduled. I called again and asked what was up and the rep (different one) said that, regardless of the window scheduled, it can still change according to the driver's schedule, something the previous rep did not bother to mention. So, I said fine, at least I'm off tomorrow so I'll be here all day. He said they wouldn't attempt it again and it would be returned to sender unless I contacted them and had them authorize another attempt. It was too late to reach the sender...so, my package is being returned. They may give good service in other countries, but clearly their presence here isn't large enough to be useful as a reliable delivery service whatsoever. From now on, I will darn sure find out who a company uses for delivery and will NEVER again order from anyone that uses GLS.
