I purchased a brand-new 2025 GMC Sierra at the beginning of September with zero miles on it. About two weeks after purchasing the truck, I noticed the tires had dry rot on the sides. I contacted the dealership immediately, and they dismissed the issue, saying there was “nothing there” and tried to wipe it off with a wet towel. After getting nowhere, I contacted GMC directly to report the problem and ask for support, but they were unresponsive. I eventually contacted a Firestone dealership, and they confirmed the tires were in fact dry rotted and replaced them. However, I had to pay the installation fee of about $190 out of my own pocket.I reached back out to GMC requesting reimbursement since the tires should never have been in this condition on a brand-new vehicle. GMC refused, stating the dealership told them it was “normal wear and tear” despite the vehicle only having zero miles at purchase and under 2,000 miles when the issue was reported. There's no way a new vehicle with only a few miles, and perfect tread should have dry rotted tires.I am extremely disappointed with both GMC and the dealership in Bunkie, Louisiana. I expected better customer service and accountability, and this has left a very bad impression after purchasing a brand-new vehicle.1 star was generous for both GMC & the Chevy dealership in Bunkie Louisiana. My Resolution Specialist Echo was NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. This was a horrible experience with the GMC, the dealership, and the Resolution Specialist.
