Bad experience with GMC Customer Service!! I’m trying to get reimbursed for repairs I completed on a known issue by GMC and they are refusing to cover my repaired expenses. Anyone having this same issue? I’m currently trying to escalate this issueIssue acknowledged by GMC notice sent to me: 2016 model year GMC Sierra vehicles, equipped with a diesel engine, may have a condition which causes an offset in the temperature sensor in the diesel-emission-reduction fluid (DEF) tank reservoir or causes the DEF heater performance to degrade. If this condition occurs, the Malfunction Indicator Light (Check Engine Light) will illuminate, the "Service Exhaust Fluid System" or "Service Emission System" message will be displayed, and a diagnostic trouble code related to the condition will be set.I definitely meet their repair requirements: If this condition occurs on your 2016 GMC Sierra within 10 years of the date your vehicle was originally placed in service or 120,000 miles (193,000 km), whichever occurs first, the condition will be repaired for you at no charge.I had it repaired elsewhere prior to knowing GMC would repair this issue for free. Paid $986.01. GMC REFUSES to reimburse me even-though their letter states: If you have already paid for repairs for the condition described in this letter, please complete the enclosed reimbursement form and present it to your dealer with all required documents.Working with your dealer will expedite your request, however, if this is not convenient, you may mail the completed reimbursement form and all required documents to Reimbursement Department, PO Box 33170, Detroit, MI 48232-5170.
