DISHONEST AND UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. I opened the account because the Interest rate was 4.5% which was higher than the national avg at the time I opened the account. The down side was that it's only paid quarterly but I wasn't planning to use the account for anything other than saving and there are no fees. I deposited a total of $100 via two separate transfers from my linked bank account because I wanted to see how the interest would be distributed across that 90 day period. The account was opened in December so I should have had an interest deposit on 4/1 but no interest. I contacted customer service (not an easy thing to do)via chat on 4/4 to ask when I would be paid and was told that it's applied annually, I confirmed that annually meant once per year, then I asked for assistance closing the account. I was asked why I wanted to close the account and I said bc their website says interest is applied quarterly in multiple places and not once is it mentioned that it's annual and I don't want to bank with a company with dishonest business practices and that is highly unethical. They asked for a screen shot of where it says interest is paid quarterly so I opened the app on my ipad and took a screen shot (from the chat window so I wouldn't be disconnect) and when I went to send the photo the chat had been ended by the customer service rep. Confirming they are dishonest and unethical.
