Two taxi rides:7/14/25: The first one slowly went up in charge over the course of 1 mile. My total was $9.95, I tipped $4, and then I was charged $20 without warning of taxes or anything. I shouldn't have tipped at all.7/16/25:Second taxi, I got in the taxi at my hotel going to the airport (2.5 miles) and was watching the meter because it wasn't going up in mileage or price in the parking garage. Once we got to the parking garage exit, he turned it on. A mile down the road I heard loud clicking so I looked to the dash and he had jammed a pen into the top of the meter. It immediately went to $25 and did not change the whole trip. Idk if that's airport policy, but it seemed really odd and unprofessional. Then it tipped extra again when I checked out, but not as much as the first taxi. Taxi drivers were very nice both times, just thought the overcharging was unprofessional, but welcome to Las Vegas. Anyone will do anything for $1. Vacation or business travel somewhere else and don't use Curb!
