Poor experience. GoDaddy's payment policies are designed to trap customers rather than serve them.
You cannot remove your credit card from the account unless you add a replacement first—a transparent sales tactic that forces you to remain in their system. The only way out? Wait until you get charged, then write in multiple times (in my case, over four attempts) before they "kindly" offer to manually remove your card for future payments.
The friction when trying to terminate services is immense. Despite my efforts to cancel and prevent any charges, the moment spare credit appeared in my account, an auto-deduction occurred immediately. I reached out seconds after the charge, requesting a refund, only to be met with policy fine print rather than customer understanding.
This is the opposite of professional. Onboarding is effortless; offboarding is a battlefield.
Contrast this with Adobe, who once refunded me an entire year's subscription due to an oversight—no questions asked, no complicated requests. That is how you treat customers.
If GoDaddy allowed easy cancellation, this one-star review would not exist. Deeply unsatisfied.
