This is a follow up to my previous review where I have an unauthorised transaction on my card and did not even received any emailed invoice from Godaddy.

I’ve been sent in circles between chat support and the payment verification team emails, and now ive been asked to call in to the call center to seek for help for the refund, which Godaddy doesnt have an outpost in Malaysia so I’m incurring a cost to call one of their international centers - which I’m on the call as I’m typing this review, and the call has a minimum wait time of 60 mins, and this is a charged phone call as well!

How absolutely ridiclous! I’m sincerely never using or recommending Godaddy to anyone - such a terrible terrible experience in trying to get a refund of my money for a charge made on an account not even related or owned by me.

You cannot remove your credit card from the account unless you add a replacement first—a transparent sales tactic that forces you to remain in their system. The only way out? Wait until you get charged, then write in multiple times (in my case, over four attempts) before they "kindly" offer to manually remove your card for future payments.

The friction when trying to terminate services is immense. Despite my efforts to cancel and prevent any charges, the moment spare credit appeared in my account, an auto-deduction occurred immediately. I reached out seconds after the charge, requesting a refund, only to be met with policy fine print rather than customer understanding.

This is the opposite of professional. Onboarding is effortless; offboarding is a battlefield.

Contrast this with Adobe, who once refunded me an entire year's subscription due to an oversight—no questions asked, no complicated requests. That is how you treat customers.

If GoDaddy allowed easy cancellation, this one-star review would not exist. Deeply unsatisfied.

After the greater part of 20 years as a customer, I've finally am fed up to the back teeth with the deterioration of customer service, the eye-watering charges and an almost impossible process to maintain and manage domains.

My emails to the company are unanswered, to the board of directors, unanswered, to the investor relations team unanswered and all the time despite having paid for a range of products they could not be re-applied and a domain was simply taken off line.

Now, I have no problem whatsoever in giving praise where it is due, but on this occasion, despite calls to the "help" desk, staff have been rude, unwilling to try and resolve matters and refuse to elevate matters to any manager.

Enough. Avoid this company - it is expensive, terrible to navigate, no longer intuitive for domain management and unresponsive to email. Harldy surprising that the market cap for the company is at or close to all time lows.

I would like to recognize the outstanding support I received from Clint Mallon, as well as the responsiveness of the team involved in resolving my issue.

Clint assisted me with a duplicate website situation during a transition from WeAreAllImagineers.com to CosmicHorizons.com. Because of the nature of the change, there was understandable concern on my end about ensuring the correct site was retained while removing the duplicate. Clint approached this with care, guiding me step-by-step and making sure I was comfortable before any action was taken.

While the issue required escalation, Clint remained fully engaged throughout. He opened a support ticket while keeping me on the line and connected with another team in real time. What stood out was how quickly that team responded—joining the process while we were still on the call, identifying that the SSL issue was tied to DNS confusion following the duplicate domain removal.

Although the final resolution required standard propagation time, both Clint and the supporting team clearly explained what was happening, what to expect, and why. That clarity removed any uncertainty and gave me full confidence in the outcome.

Having spent many years in IT support and operations, I recognize how rare it is to see this level of coordination, communication, and ownership across teams. Clint demonstrated strong technical knowledge and excellent customer awareness, and the responsiveness of the escalation team reflected a well-functioning support structure behind him.

This experience not only resolved my issue, but reinforced confidence in your organization. Please pass along my appreciation to Clint and the team involved—this level of service makes a meaningful difference.

If there were a zero rating I would give one. I needed to defederate my account from GoDaddy so it could be managed by Microsoft. I got jerked around, for 5 days with promises and incorrect information and the wrong questions. Then in the end goDaddy didn't defederate my domain they DELETED it. The consequence was a path of destruction in our organisation which I need to manage. I CANNOT RECOMMEND GoDaddy EVER to ANYONE. I saw warnings on the web that this is how they are and those warnings were 100% correct. I do not know how on other platforms they get a glowing rating.
