Having booked taxis to take a group to a dinner at an Oxford College 2 weeks before the date needed I received a call to tell me that the traffic was at a standstill and the taxis would be an hour late. Totally unacceptable 30mins before our pick up time. We had to make alternative arrangements to get to our dinner. The return journey was provided as promised with a polite driver. A quick check on Google maps did not show Oxford at a standstill and as we got to the dinner on time proved Oxford not to be at a standstill.
