GOLDCAR IS TERRIBLE. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Hired a car from Malaga Airport (31 March- 10 April 2026). I paid for a SUV car like a Peugeot 3008, instead I was given a Kia Stonic 1.2 which the man serving told me was in the same category (LOL)!!! Next, the Goldcar man advised me to return the car with low fuel/ empty, as I had to pay upfront for the full tank of fuel. I questioned this as usually it is full tank to full tank, he confirmed that there is no need to return the car with a full tank. I was then charged £48.22 for the fuel in the car. When I returned the car it was out of hours (3am) and so dropped the keys off and had nobody to ask about the fuel. Later that day, surprise, surprise Goldcar whacked an extra £65.15 on my credit card re-fueling charge!!! I phoned up Goldcar in Spain, spoke to Yousra (customer services) who advised me to email their customer service, which I did. Rosabella Asangono (customer services) emailed back, denied any knowledge of my call and claimed that the car should be returned fuel full, no apology, no refund. Seriously, what a joke this company is. NEVER, EVER again.
