I have booked both of my grandparents' funerals through Golden Charter, which was recommended by our funeral director. We have since had one of their funerals, and everything went very smoothly. It was a relief not deal with funeral costs, while also making funeral plans and addressing their will. When looking at DIY funeral planning and Golden Charter, there is not a huge difference. They also allowed me to select a bespoke coffin and used the price paid for the coffin on the plan towards the chosen coffin costs. This meant a huge deal to us, giving Grandfather a very personal send-off. I have since booked Grandmother's package. I had a slight issue with no replies to my emails and an ineffective phone line; this does need to be addressed. However, the selection of packages and ease of booking removes so much stress.Therefore, I highly recommend Golden Charter.
