I bought a Lalo children's table and chair set that was considered an "open box" item. The table top was damaged, and was just kind of let loose in the box, not protected from the shipping process. I understand the concept of "open box", but expect that the product would be shipped properly to not receive damage. The table is still able to be used, but has blemishes on the table top. I would recommend to be careful if buying an open box item, as the shipping process can damage the product if it is not wrapped to prevent damage.
