I believe that maintaining affordable heating for our homes is just as crucial, if not more so, than promoting electric vehicle transport. Moving forward, electric heating through heat pump technology should align more closely with gas prices. I recognize the complexities surrounding electricity supply and the significant differences in peak and off-peak rates, but we should still have access to economical home heating. Perhaps the specific tariff could cover the 0000-0600 timeframe at a lower rate, similar to the 13.5 rate during peak hours.
