Disappointing Pre-Order Experience

I pre-ordered on the first day at a lower price, anticipating the usual perks of pre-ordering. However, the order was delayed significantly beyond the communicated timeframe. Customer support assured me it would ship before Christmas, but that promise was not kept, and I received only vague updates when I inquired about a firm date. During this time, the same item became available at various retail stores for immediate delivery, resulting in pre-order customers getting the product later than regular buyers. No compensation was offered for the lengthy delay, and the support team claimed they were not accountable and do not provide goodwill. They also gave inconsistent status updates. I would not recommend pre-ordering, as it does not guarantee priority fulfillment or reliable communication, and I will not be ordering from them again.
