I am extremely disappointed with Shippo’s insurance process. After they lost a package valued at $324, I was bounced like a ball between UPS and USPS. Despite reaching out to Shippo early on, they failed to help, only to finally direct me to their insurer, XCover, once it was too late. They then invited me to email an explanation for the delay. My explanation was met with an automated response telling me to go back and file a claim—the very thing I was blocked from doing.
It feels like a deliberate system designed to make customers give up. They create a cycle where you can never actually get a result. Do not bother paying for insurance through Shippo; it was a total waste of money and a massive headache. I did my part as a customer, but Shippo and XCover failed to stand by their service.
