To start we have had no issues with the tutors that we have used through GoStudent over the last 2.5 years. We have only had issues in the last few months with memberships.
we have accumulated several credits and our 6monthly rolling contract was due for renewal. as my daughter's exams were in5 months i contacted them to discuss how we could use these credits before the end of the 5 months but also not sign up to a further 6 months. They said this was fine - they would put us on to a monthly rolling contract so we would have 1 month notice period and if we paused this before the end of the 5months we could use our credits up and not lose these. We were happy, this seemed reasonable. At the start of february 2 payments were taken in 1 month and on account there are now 2 memberships running. I have contacted them by email, telephone and whatsapp. I have had no response to either any emails I've sent. The person I spoke to on the phone promised she would get finance to sort out a refund ASAP (not received after 3 weeks) and get membership department to contact me (no contact from them yet). I contacted them over whatsapp. lots of apologies given and told if I filled out the cancellation form someone from membership would contact me. I did this and have heard nothing again. They do not answer my complaints emails. They will not put me in touch with anyone who deals with complaints or in a management position. I have made contact with them 7 times now in various forms and have got nowhere in sorting this out. I am now waiting on yet another phone call. There is nothing in writing from them so I can evidence what I have been told. I don't know how they can start a new membership alongside an existing membership with no consent from me.
The system for contacting them and getting support is terrible. The tutors have been great but the admin side of things I would avoid.
