I tried to go through the .gov website but was redirected to gov assist multiple times. I decided to try them. For $147, I received 2 printed copies of my application in the mail with 2 pens, and 2 different photos, neither of which were accepted at the passport office. And a ton of follow up calls and emails offering to schedule my appointment at offices that don't have passport service. I scrapped their stuff and am starting over through my local office (which was not on their list of passport offices). I'm assuming the office confusion is due to local service changes, but the photos were a waste.
