My experience with this hospital and team was overall positive, with some areas that could definitely be improved.
At the beginning, communication with my medical coordinator, Dervim, felt inconsistent. I did express that delayed replies were making me anxious, especially as I was preparing to travel for surgery. Although there was some improvement, responses close to my travel date were still slow, which added unnecessary stress.
At times, the way some nurses communicated with each other felt a little loud for a post-surgery environment. A calmer and quieter atmosphere would have been more comforting for patients who are recovering.
Once I arrived at the hospital, the experience improved significantly. The team I met in person was professional, caring, and supportive. The transportation arranged by my travel coordinator, Fitnat was smooth and well organised.
All pre-operative tests were done on the night of my arrival. The next morning, I met Crecen, who was exceptional. She was compassionate, reassuring, and extremely patient with my many questions. She made me feel supported at all times.
Dr Ahmed Asciogi was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was honest about what was best for me, and we adjusted my procedure based on his medical advice, which gave me confidence in his expertise.
The aftercare was very good. The nurses were attentive, and although there was sometimes a small language barrier, the quality of care was still good. A special mention to Mohamed, who was particularly gentle and caring.
I was very impressed that the surgeon personally visited me every morning to clean my wounds and change my bandages. This level of care really stood out.
Ceren continued to support me throughout my stay and even accompanied me on daily walks around the hospital, which meant a lot to me.
The hotel accommodation was comfortable and clean, with rooms like small one-bedroom flats and good food.
Overall, a good experience with some communication issues that could be improved.
