I purchased a vintage 1972 watch from Grailzee with the expectation that it had been fully inspected and was in proper working order, as described. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The watch arrived with mechanical issues and had to be sent out for a complete overhaul, costing me over $1,000 including shipping. While Grailzee did refund their original service fee, the fact remains that the watch was not properly vetted before being sold. I specifically chose them because I expected a professional inspection process for a vintage timepiece, and that trust was misplaced.I appreciate the $250 refund of their buyers fee, but I’m still left with a costly and disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a carefully curated purchase.
