I ordered two sediment filters that were supposed to be stringed. Upon opening the box, I found they were smooth instead. Given our water composition, stringed filters are essential for us. I was informed that I could return them at my own expense or bring them back to a nearby store, which is a 40-minute drive. I intended to exchange them for the correct stringed filters and was told that was possible. I received a credit. When I arrived a few days later, an employee checked the product details and said both versions had the same product number, which puzzled him. After making a call, he was told that if I reordered the stringed filter, I would receive the smooth one again, as it was classified as "stringed." I found that amusing. Was there a new type of stringed filter that looked smooth outside but had a stringed core? No, it was just the molded, smooth sediment filter. We looked online, and the actual stringed filter appeared as a tightly wound cone, just like all my previous ones. I will not use this company again, as they are fully aware of this misleading information and show no concern. Why would anyone risk buying a product that may not be what it claims to be and potentially fail due to an invisible difference? No thanks. I was not informed that this issue would be resolved.
