I came in expecting a pixie cut, but while I was in the chair the stylist began insisting that I should keep my hair longer. She said pixie cuts are usually worn by older people and suggested my hair had too much volume and weight for that style. I felt pressured to change the haircut I had asked for.
Unfortunately, the final result was not what I requested and it turned out very poorly. I actually had to go to a barbershop afterward to have my hair fixed.
I understand that stylists may give professional advice, but it should ultimately be the client’s decision. I came in with a clear request and left with something completely different, which was frustrating and disappointing.
