I imagine when most pubs see someone eating Makky D in their beer garden they think "cheeky so and so" or something similar. But tread carefully. We got off a hire boat in Wroxham with 3 hungry kids and 2 dogs today. End of a lovely week's holiday. The kids wanted Makky D but we couldn't take the dogs in. We couldn't find a picnic table so we took our food to the Kings Head. I queued at the bar with two servers and a line that stretched out into the car park. When I eventually got the beers we tucked in. The photo below shows just how enormous the beer garden was and how many empty tables there were. When the staff member asked us to move away from our table to finish our food her attitude reeked of "cheeky so and so's" or actually something a lot worse. I really don't appreciate being spoken to like that. Anyway I took my Big Mac into the car park finished it and then went back to my table and finished the last drink I'll ever have in a Greene King pub. You may have scored a point against Makky D today but at what cost? BTW the couple at the table behind us eating Sainsbury's sarnies without buying a beer were left unmolested.
