I purchased an 8" Green Pan fry pan at the local grocery store. After removing the packing you find a sticker which says things such as don't use cooking spray oil and to heat pan up slowly. This seemed crazy to me, so I ran a test. I heated the pan for 5 minutes on stove setting 2 (of 7), then I turned it up to setting 4 for 5 minutes. On stove setting 4 the pan gave off a nauseating stench. I repeated this experiment 3 times. Whatever volatiles are in this pan do not go away quickly. I am returning this pan to the store.
