I bought a green works lawnmower with 2 batteries and a charger. I used it periodically over 3 years. I probably charged the batteries 20 times each. They failed and I had to buy another one to continue to use the mower. When I complained about the lifespan of the batteries, Greenworks reminded that the small print on their site says the MOWER has a warranty of 3 years, but the batteries only 2 years. You might ask why the difference since the mower is useless without batteries. Ahh, it's because they are in the business of selling batteries and once you are on their platform what choice do you have but to buy batteries that cost 50% 0f the original product. Such a scam. I'm opting out and will buy another brand. You should seriously consider this too - buying batteries every 2 years is a waste.
