I just purchased my second and third pair. It's amazing to me how after spending $100s on top-of-the-line "conventional" sneakers these little things that look like ballet slippers get me through the day as a retail store manager (on concrete for an entire shift) pain free! There's a "learning curve" when you first put them on because it's the opposite of what you are used to - walking on a cloud in your conventional footwear. However, at the end of the first day you realize that you have no aches or pains and are far less fatigued overall. The only thing that is disappointing is the wear in the material where my big toes are, but the two new pairs I just purchased are a size bigger so I'll see if that helps. That being said, I am very tough on them and the wear wasn't a lot worse than with my old Asics.PS. Besides wearing them to work every day, I wear them to walk/hike with my dogs. That's about 15 additional miles per week at a very good pace. I wear them with thin socks at work, no socks otherwise - no socks preferred.
