However, on the scheduled day, the driver's tire was damaged, pushing the pickup to the 26th and drop-off to the 27th. I understand that unforeseen events occur, but I emphasized to dispatch that the truck needed to be picked up by January 1st without exception. They assured me it would be fine. Unfortunately, after the 1st, there was still no pickup, and I was quoted a price that was three times the original amount. I couldn't accept that, so I decided to cancel entirely, thinking I would handle it myself. The next morning, after my cancellation attempt, I received a more reasonable quote, so I asked dispatch to have the driver reach out to me. The driver from the assigned company was exceptional—very respectful and enthusiastic, truly a great person. If I engage with this service again, I will specifically request him. I rate the driver five stars, but I give the company four due to the delays in pickup. While the drop-off timing was less of a concern for me, the lack of communication almost cost me a valuable truck. In the future, when arranging a vehicle pickup, ensure that quotes are accurate and that a driver is readily available.
