One-Star Warning to All Travelers and to Enterprise/Guerin ManagementI have never been so appalled by a rental experience. My fully confirmed Enterprise reservation (government of Québec account) clearly stated:• 10-day rental, pick-up June 15 @ 12:00, drop-off June 25 @ 12:00• Unlimited mileage• Additional driver included• Collision Damage Waiver with no deductibleWhat happened at Lisbon Airport borders on bait-and-switch:1. Contract in Portuguese only, thrown at me after an overnight flight from Montréal. The counter agent rushed me to sign immediately, refusing to provide an English or French copy or any explanation of changes.2. Extra day tacked on. I was billed for 11 days because I collected the car at 08:00—even though my confirmed reservation (and the flight schedule they had) was for noon.3. Mileage suddenly limited & charged at €0.12/km. The words “unlimited mileage” vanished.4. €73 of “additional driver” fees for my spouse, even though our corporate contract explicitly includes one free co-driver.5. Hidden deductible of €1 180 added that was nowhere in the Canadian confirmation.6. Contract font so small and dense it was virtually illegible on the spot, making it impossible to verify line items under pressure.I am extremely disappointed and feel outright deceived. As this rental is charged to a Québec government account, rest assured the appropriate authorities and my departmental procurement office will be alerted. Enterprise/Guerin Lisbon, expect formal follow-up and a demand for immediate correction and refund of every unwarranted fee.Travelers: photograph your reservation, read every line, and be ready to refuse the keys until they honor the exact terms—or choose another company altogether.
