Review Time
Rake (the admin/owner) has major ego issues. Every single one of his youtube videos has the comments feature disabled because he can't handle any criticism, protest or disapproval of any kind. Likewise on his website, any such criticism/protest/disapproval...etc gets you immediately banned. This guy thinks he's God's gift to reverse engineering LOL. There's literally nothing on that website or youtube channel that can't be obtained for free elsewhere. People like Rake with his repulsive attitude are the reason many people are discouraged to attempt learning reverse engineering.
PS
I don't like how Trustpilot forces us to choose a specific date. Not everybody has a specific invoice with a specific date. A single review can often be encompassing of months or years of overall frustration!
Been using GH since early 2021. Experience this far has been great. The game hacking bible is valuable to me, considering its modular design gave me the ability to go from beginner to experimenting with more applied concepts.
It has a great deal of volume too, if I want to know something I can expect it to be there. I really like that they provide you with real tools and projects for you to explore too, not just hard theory which makes it easier for us end-users to know what we need to learn next.
Guidedhacking is probably the best place to learn reverse engineering from, even if you have 0 programming experience. The step by step bible is very realistic, and its been a phenomenal resource for me for school and personal usage. Definitely recommend them, the service is insane for this pricing.
I am a hobbyist interested in reversing flash games/browser games, and their website kept popping up when I was looking for this somewhat niche game I am interested in. Not only did I come across what I needed, but what made me write this review is their comprehensive corpus on flash games. For the most part, I had to grok most of what I know painfully, but their website provides lots of resources on browser game reverse engineering. Very cool.
I've been using GuidedHacking as a resource for years to help me write trainers for single player games and help develop my Cheat Engine tables. The YouTube videos that Rake has put out over the years are truly second to none. I would have zero clue with what I'm doing if it weren't for the abundance of resources that they offer. It's a shame that petty children on the internet want to throw tantrums and downvote their service for breaking the rules and getting caught.
I am majoring in cyber sec and as a college student, I have learned eons more from this website than I have from my major classes. I have noticed you essentially "learn to learn" from them, which is frankly more valuable than anything anyone can teach.
The content on Guided Hacking has personally helped me with many certifications, as it’s concise and straight to the point. Rake is a super kind person once you get to know him. As long as you read the rules and follow them, you’ll get your money’s worth. Anyone complaining about loss of service or being banned did so because they violated the rules.
there's so many things to choose from once you buy a subscription. It really helps that they have a wide selection of topics because you never know what kind of things your current project might throw at you. It's like one big wiki.
Guidedhacking is great, it was a total breath of fresh air for me I tried a few other forums and some discord servers and found the community lacking. I come from a cybersecurity background and I was expecting something different I guess. But after buying a subscription on GH and getting access to all their content I know this is what I was looking for all along.
