It doesn’t seem I'm alone looking at other reviews but the email confirming club membership cancellation doesn’t actually cancel your membership.
They took the money and then denied my cancellation saying they had no record even though I have an email confirming it!
Then I was told I had to 'apply' to cancel and initially refused to cancel unless I gave a reason.
Asked about complaining and ADR but didn’t get an answer. They couldn’t get off the chat quick enough but do seem to have processed the cancellation and refund.
