Absolutely unacceptable service from Halfords.

I ordered two shelving units and paid extra for next day delivery. Only one arrived. The driver told me to contact customer services, who then assured me the second unit would arrive that same evening between 7–8pm — it didn’t.

I chased again on Saturday and was told someone would call me back. No one did. By Monday, I still had nothing, so I had to contact them yet again, only to be told a “case” had been opened and it could take up to 7 days.

The item has finally arrived 5 days late, and the box is in a shocking condition — battered and taped back together. I haven’t even opened it yet as I fully expect it to be damaged.

I paid for a service I didn’t receive, had to repeatedly chase for updates, and have been left with what looks like a damaged product.

This is poor from start to finish — delivery failure, lack of communication, and no accountability.

I expect this to be resolved properly. Until then, I won’t be using Halfords again.
